About Resilience and Recovery Science
Resilience and Recovery Science is a collaborative platform dedicated to advancing the theory and practice of how complex systems prepare for, absorb, recover from, and adapt to disruption.
Our work spans cyber-physical systems, infrastructure networks, organizational behavior, and supply chain resilience, focusing on recovery dynamics—a phase often overlooked in traditional risk and resilience frameworks. This site is a central hub for sharing research, resources, and real-world applications that explore resilience across interconnected domains.
We bring together interdisciplinary teams across engineering, social sciences, data science, and policy to:
Develop conceptual frameworks for resilience stress testing
Apply those frameworks to real-world testbeds (e.g., airports, power grids, digital systems, food supply chains)
Explore metrics, modeling strategies, and human or system responses
Engage with government agencies, global researchers, and decision-makers to co-create knowledge and tools.
